RHEEM TO SHOWCASE EXPANDED TANKLESS WATER HEATER LINE AND NEW CONNECTED PRODUCTS AT 2018 INTERNATIONAL BUILDERS SHOW

ATLANTA — January 10, 2018 —  Rheem® is is kicking off the New Year at the 2018 NAHB International Builders’ Show January 9-11 (Booth #S2610), with new product introductions and more.

At the center of Rheem’s IBS booth will be the company’s 53-foot High Efficiency Air + Water Road Show trailer, which features a 40-foot interactive mobile touch screen and new product displays. The space will also include a series of stand-alone displays from Rheem®, Ruud®, and Eemax®, as well as a special appearance by the Rheem Racing NASCAR show car, which will be part of the Joe Gibson Racing team in 2018.

2018 IBS Product Introductions:

Rheem’s residential tankless solutions are growing in 2018 with the introduction of a line of condensing gas water heaters with built-in recirculation pumps.

“We have been very deliberate about the expansion of our water heating solutions and EcoNet Connected products this year, making sure we have systems to meet a wide spectrum of residential installations,” said John Fitzgerald, Executive Vice President of Operations, Rheem. “We are focused on developing the most comprehensive, innovative and builder-friendly selection of water heating and HVAC systems in the industry.”

Rheem® High Efficiency Tankless Gas Water Heaters with Recirculation
The new Rheem High Efficiency Tankless Gas Water Heaters with Built-in Recirculation Pump deliver a continuous flow of hot water without the wait. Compatible with almost any home due to flexible venting options and a compact design, these powerful units boast a maximum GPM of 11 and .94 UEF. When activated, the built- in pump circulates hot water from the heater and returns the cold water that would normally run down the drain through a dedicated return line. (For installations without a dedicated return line, the included crossover valve can be installed to use existing plumbing.) Water and Gas Leak Detection automatically shuts off the unit if issues are detected.

Named the most preferred tankless brand among plumbers (2015 study by Hanover Research), Rheem was also recently chosen by the readers of Green Home Builder and Builder and Developer Magazine as the Most Preferred Brand of Tankless Water Heaters for 2017.

Prestige® Series Hybrid Electric Heat Pump

Designed to reduce energy use by up to 73 percent, Rheem’s Prestige® Series Hybrid Electric Water Heaters are designed to save homeowners $4,000 in energy costs over 10 years, and pay for itself in less than two. New for 2018, Rheem is offering an industry-first 15-amp Prestige Hybrid for residential use, as well as models for light-duty commercial and multifamily applications.
Rheem is partnering with Alabama Power to supply the hybrid electric water heaters to homes in the new Smart NeighborhoodTM in Birmingham, AL. Southern Company and Alabama Power will be hosting a presentation at IBS - "Cutting-Edge Technology to Power Communities of the Future" – on January 11th at 10:30am (Exhibit Hall SA, Booth S218).

Water Heater Booster
The new Rheem Water Heater Booster is an easy-to-install add-on solution that increases hot water delivery in an existing gas or electric tank up to 45 percent. Compact in size, the unit attaches to the tank or nearby wall and activates when water drops below the set temperature.

Mini Split Heat Pump Systems
Rheem’s residential Mini-Split Heat Pump Systems are Single-Room (33 SEER/14.2 HSPF) and Multi-Room (up to 19.7 SEER/10.3 HSPF) ductless heating and air conditioning systems that provide year-round, whole-house comfort in any climate. With a push of a button on a remote control, the systems switch from heating to cooling (and vice versa) automatically.

Rheem’s sister company Eemax®, the top brand of tankless water heater solutions in the country, will also be featuring new water heating products at IBS:

HomeAdvantage IITM Tankless Water Heaters
HomeAdvantage II is a new line of on demand residential electric tankless water heaters that provide continuous hot water for single point-of-use applications, such as bathrooms and kitchen sinks. The models range from 8kW to 36kW.

MiniTankTM Water Heaters
The new Eemax MiniTankTM units are compact, electric water heaters that fit virtually anywhere. Sized based on performance and not electrical infrastructure, all Eemax MiniTanks are designed to be plugged into a 110Volt outlet (only the EMT6 needs to be hardwired).
